A carnival, fireworks and dance workshop will also be on the cards for day two of the five-day family festival in Melbourne CBD.
The fun will begin at 5pm and round out at 10pm, ahead of three full days of activity over the long weekend.
From the Birdman Rally, to performances and silent discos, this year’s event is promising to have something for everyone.
“Melbourne is ready for Moomba magic,” Lord Mayor Sally Capp said.
It’s the first time in the festival’s 69-year history it will be running an extra day.
“We are very happy to be here and to be sharing it with everybody,” Capp said.
